Several recent policy briefs and information documents have drawn attention to the effects of increased carbon dioxide (CO2) on our oceans - a problem that is still generally unknown to policymakers and the general public. Indeed few people are aware of the potential consequences of the anthropogenic CO2 currently entering the worl's oceans at a rate of 25 millions tons per day.
